Drama

Drama is a practical, literacy-rich subject which allows students to examine the world through a different lens and create meaning. Students learn every aspect of theatrecraft with practical experiences, producing performances and engaging with the local and national theatre community.

Drama at Birkenhead College is offered from Years 9 to Year 13. We have dedicated facilities, a supportive faculty and are fortunate to have a fully-equipped theatre which we often use for classes. Students have the opportunity to create their own original work as well as study and perform a variety of plays and theatre forms. At senior levels, students have the opportunity to perform a class play to the wider Birkenhead College community.

Students of Drama learn to become empathetic and engaged members of society.
