Recently, our 11 Geography class took an overnight trip to Waitomo Glowworm Caves in order to explore the caves and learn about sustainable tourism.

As it was the first trip to the caves for some students, they really enjoyed themselves, saying that it was amazing to see the limestone formations at Ruakuri cave (a real highlight of the trip) and the boat ride in the main cave to see the glow worms was a pretty close second. Students will now use their experiences and knowledge gained on this trip to complete an internal assessment.
