At Birkenhead College debate students take part in a city-wide tournament for secondary schools, tackling topics that may sometimes be controversial, but that are certainly current issues in society today.

In our debate teams students develop the skills of critical thinking and analysis, public speaking skills, improved general knowledge on a range of subjects and, of course, teamwork.
