Our library is a pleasant venue for reading, study and research, well used by our students and teachers.
The Birkenhead College Library is a freestanding building, centrally situated in the school grounds. Students have access to the library from 8.45 am to 4.00 pm each weekday. Classes use the library during the day (it is large enough to accommodate two classes together), and it is available for student use at interval, lunchtime and after school. Year 13 students have free access throughout the day for study, as their classes allow.
The library stocks over 10,000 books, periodicals and resources. Computers and printing are available to students. Wifi allows BYOD access, and Year 13 students may borrow laptops to use in the library.
