homestay accommodation
The following homestay accommodation services are available to International Students:

.	Airport pick-up if the accommodation is arranged through Birkenhead College.
.	Good quality, pleasant houses.
.	The homestay accommodation will be close to Birkenhead College, in general within walking distance or a short bus ride away.
.	Each student will have his/her own room.
.	Pre-placement inspection of house and family by our Homestay Co-ordinator, and regular monitoring of the homestay situation as required under the "Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students".
.	Provision to change homestay if either the student or the family is not satisfied.
.	Requirement of homestay parents to monitor and supervise the student, and to set and maintain reasonable standards of behaviour.
.	Students will only be required to do a minimum of chores about the home.
.	Three meals per day will be provided.
.	Cost for 2011 from $230/week /$240 for 14 and under
