| library Our library is a pleasant venue for reading, study and research, well used by our students and teachers. The Birkenhead College Library is a freestanding building, centrally situated in the school grounds. Students have access to the library from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm each weekday. Classes use the library during the day (it is large enough to accommodate two classes together), and it is available for student use at lunchtime and after school. Year 13 students have free access throughout the day for study, as their classes allow. The library stocks over 12,500 books and a wide range of periodicals. The catalogue is computerized and there are also computers with internet access for student research. There is also a photocopier available for student use. |
